Review by hotel critic
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hermanus Heights Villa with a group of friends during our delightful exploration of the Western Cape. From the moment we arrived, the clean and spacious apartment captivated us, offering breathtaking views that perfectly complemented our shared stories over evenings spent on the terrace with a barbecue. The apartment boasted convenient amenities, including free Wi-Fi and a well-equipped kitchen, which made our communal meals enjoyable. Our host was incredibly attentive, keeping us informed during load shedding and ensuring our stay was as comfortable as possible. I particularly appreciated the proximity to the stunning Fernkloof Nature Reserve, allowing us to venture out for invigorating hikes while also having the option to relax with spa treatments afterward. Despite a slight hiccup regarding a glass table—which we hadn’t used—Hermanus Heights Villa remains a spot I'd ardently recommend to fellow travelers. I’m already looking forward to returning for another unforgettable experience in this serene corner of South Africa.
